JYP Entertainment has been coming out full force in 2016. Twice has led the generation change since their October comeback, and Baek Ayeon and Baek Yerin have swept the charts. People have called this phenomenon "the strength of the females" or "the queen's reign". Although the female JYP artists' successes have been more obvious, it is difficult to ignore the male artists' contributions.
◆Strong Hallyu idols, as expected... 2PM
These past few months, 2PM has been on their Japanese Arena Tour, performing for a total of 15 concerts with an amazing turn-out of 160,000 audience members. They have also announced their performance at Tokyo Dome this coming October.
Their album "Galaxy of 2PM" has also been gaining much love, as it hit 1st place on the Weekly Oricon Charts and have sold over 142,000 copies so far, making it 2PM's best-selling album.
Not only are they outstanding as a group, but individual members have also seen much success with their solo endeavors. Jun.K, Wooyoung, and Junho have already released solo albums in Japan and secured a large fanbase there. 2PM are no longer simply K-Pop idols but artists.
